Quickie with a DJ: Royal-T
If you had one night left to live, how would you spend it? Probably spend it with my family. That’s not really hardcore or DJ-like is it?. But, if I was to know I’d be dying the next day I’d probably like to spend it sober.
What song do you sing in the shower? A lot of Jamiroquai and Artful Dodger. There’s no particular track, my bathroom ballads are always full of variety.
Celeb crush? Got a bit of a soft spot for Frankie from the Saturdays.
Favorite candy / snack? Haribo Terrific Turtles for Candy and Maryland Chocolate Chip Cookies for snacks. That’s the rocket fuel right there.
What do you drive? A Vauxhall Corsa once a week, which belongs to my Driving Instructor.
Kind of watch do you wear? Some retro silver digital Casio thing. Old school.
Favorite Sneakers? Air Max 90s. They’re bloody comfy.
Favorite cartoon or video game character? George Stobbart from the Broken Sword games, he’s a don. Only a few people will know this game, it’s a classic though.
Can’t leave home without? Earphones in with iPhone on shuffle and keys because i do like to return home, as well sometimes.
First DJ you ever saw live? I can’t really remember the VERY first to be honest but I do remember seeing Joker play live back in 2010 in Southampton, and that was the night I decided I wanted to become a DJ. The next time i saw him I was co-headlining with him at an event in London, which was a nice little moment for me.
Most embarrassing performance moment? On one of the Rinse tour dates in Brighton I was playing and my belt on my jeans snapped out of nowhere. No one noticed while it happened but I might of looked a bit odd holding up my jeans the whole night like some thug. I’ve had power cuts before and the last time I played in Fabric, my headphones stopped working at the start of the set, a few things really.
What DJ do you want to:
Hug? A handshake will do, but EZ, for being the best.
DJ alongside live? Gotta be Rodigan really, although it may end up looking like some odd family reunion disco from afar.
