To celebrate the release of deadmau5’s The Veldt EP next month, fans will be able to listen to the Tommy Trash remix of the lead track. Inspired by a short Sci-Fi story written by Ray Bradbury, “The Veldt” features vocals by Chris James, whose smooth and sleek voice harmonize excellently with deadmau5’s electronic melodies, as well as provide a fitting contrast to his hard rhythmic beats.

“People’s art, poetry, writing or otherwise can very easily juxtapose to your own craft, inspiring you to create your own personal extension or compliment to the work…hence the track itself,” said deadmau5. “After being inspired, I felt…man, I’d really like to create a soundtrack like this…somewhat melancholic yet uplifting audio image of kids bestowed with insane technology, which enables them to conjure up any setting or any thing they desire.”

The Veldt EP, coming out June 25, is the first in a series of EPs from deadmau5 to be released over the coming months.
