Pulpop’s Environmentally-friendly, Doughnut-shaped MP3 Speaker
Recycled pulp is commonly found in various forms of packaging and print media. The actual process of deinked pulp involves freeing paper fibres by removing unwanted substances (e.g. printing inks). Balance Wu Design has created the Pulpop MP3 Speaker, which is shaped like a doughnut (and may also be mistaken for a headrest), created from recycled pulp. Sounds are amplified by the vibration inside the hollow of the speaker, a solution to the problem of sound generally not carrying well through paper pulp. The speakers are rechargeable through a USB port.
