3-D Printed Cassette Tape

Here’s another cool project for the gadget geeks. From Brooklyn-based MakerBot comes a 3D printed ‘cassette tape,’ going back to the roots of the mixtape as a recorded tape of a group of songs. The company allows you to create your own custom tape via two options: 1) if you happen to own the Replicator, you can order a kit and download the design plans, enabling you to create and print your own 3d tape, 2) or if you don’t have the $1,749 required to purchase the Replicator, the firm can simply send you a blank one and you can proceed to add music.
