High quality headphones are difficult to find without having to break into the three digit price range. Grado’s SR 60 series offers great performance at an economically attractive price range (<$80). We have had a chance to try these out in the past, and despite the discomfort of the headband at times, it provides balanced, crisp sounds across a range of different genres. Keep in mind the headphones are open-ear, allowing your music to seep out and external noises to seep in. However, there have been numerous studies done that highlight the more spacious, natural sounding experience with open-ear headphones while closed-ear headphones provide the benefit of isolated sounds.
